Phil and his family moved to the Naracoorte area of South Australia just in time for him to start school in 1958. After spending the first few years on farming properties, Phil’s family moved to the southern edge of the town giving him, his friends and siblings freedom to access many square miles of natural scrub, bush tracks, swampland, creeks and open pastures.

There was never a dull moment after school or on weekends – from exploring properties, having bonfires, then spotlighting for rabbits and ‘roos.

Part One begins Phil’s stories of his amazing experiences growing up in the 1960s, where he shares tales of a country life, particularly before the intrusion of television, calculators, computers and mobile phones.  Watch out for Part Two – coming soon.
