This history of the 140 year old Burra Show Society is richly illustrated with over 200 image. It includes an account of each of the 123 shows held up to 2016. There are also detailed descriptions of the development of the show grounds over that period including the discussions surrounding the society’s moves to four different locations. This is the first time a history of the Burra Show Society has been printed since a fairly brief publication in 1925 and an even smaller un-illustrated booklet in 1977. It has been meticulously researched from the extensive reports in local papers and includes appendices listing principal office holders and life members.
