General Practice is diverse, has time constraints and is ongoing. When the presenting symptoms are emotional issues, then it is advantageous to have a readily available set of strategies which are effective in setting the patient towards the path to recovery.
This is an eclectic collection of such strategies which can be drawn on as short interventions and then added to in subsequent consults after assessing the patient’s progress.
These therapeutic interventions are designed to be built on by each practitioner’s experience, creativity and further reading. They are not in any particular order as they are best applied by the practitioner’s intuition.
