Jan Reu has penned a remarkable account of her life built upon an endless supply of hope and steadfast resilience. This testimony of her life is centred around her Chrisitan faith that has sustained her through raising a family, a commitment to service, health challenges and significant loss. It was through losing her daughter Merrilyn to Leukaemia that Jan established the charity “Lillies for Leukaemia”.

“Lillies for Leukaemia” has raised funds under the banner of the Research Fund at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and two isolation rooms were dedicated to Merrilyn in the cancer centre upgrades. Jan was recognised in 2021 and awarded an (Order of Australia Medal) OAM in the Australia Day honours for service to people with Leukaemia and seniors. In line with Jan’s commitment to service, funds from the sale of this book will go towards further cancer research.
