The story of Thomas Earl and his wife. Tamar Sowerby, and their children and descendants, from c1792 to the present. Thomas was a miller, baker, and labourer, and Tamar, the mother of 11, was also a baker. They originally lived in the old county of Westmorland, but lived most of their lives in Wigton, in neighbouring Cumberland, to Scotland, Northumberland, Lancashire, and beyond, to present-day families living right across the world. It has been compiled using historical documents, certificates and newspaper articles, and family knowledge and photos.
